“Keep Gym in School” Comes to Kansas
Jardine Middle School
Wichita, Kansas
NFL Network hosted its second “Keep Gym in School” minicamp event at Jardine Middle School in Wichita on Nov. 7 to celebrate its field refurbishments, new track, and fitness equipment. The band and cheerleading squad got the pep rally started, pumping up the crowd for the big day and welcoming the day’s hosts: NFL Network Analyst and Hall of Fame nominee Rod Woodson and Former Kansas City Chiefs Guard Will Shields. Shields and Woodson joined with Cox General Manager Kimberly Edmunds, School Superintendent Martin Libhart, and Mayor Carl Brewer to get the kids excited about the In-School Fitness Challenge and about staying active and healthy.
With the cheerleaders leading and the band playing, the Jaguars ran through the Keep Gym in School Helmet, taking the field for the In-School Fitness Challenge. Shields led a team stretch and then the kids were off to the eight stations, running, jumping, catching, and throwing for a chance to win a trip to the 2009 NFL Draft
Congratulations, Jardine Middle School!
