Students who had no detentions or writeups enjoyed an ice cream social this afternoon!
Way to Go!
Family Movie Night was a success! Many of our Jardine families braved the rain and came to watch a screening of "The Croods"! Some lucky students even won prizes during a raffle held at intermission!
Recognizing Outstanding Effort Within the Jardine Family
The Good Apple Award program allows schools and administrative support centers to recognize employees, volunteers, and school partners who provide exemplary service to the district and its students. Twice each year, principals and selection committees take up the arduous task of reviewing nominations and selecting only three award recipients for their buildings.
If you know of someone affiliated with Jardine who deserves recognition, you can access the nomination forms here in English or Spanish.
Jardine Students pose with "Spinner" from teh Wichita Wingnuts. Spinner was at Jardine to help us celebrate our baseball-themed D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) activity. Farmland donated 600+ hotdogs and Meritrust bank employees volunteered for the afternoon, helping to cook and serve all of the food!
25 Book Challenge Kickoff!
Jardine students were introduced to the “25 Book Challenge” today. They are challenged to read 1,000,000 words, approximately 25 books, throughout the course of the year. There will be quarterly rewards to those students who stay on track to meet the challenge by the end of the year. One of those rewards consists of a series of “Minute to Win It” challenges, which these two students modeled for the entire school during the assembly!
